Why Does the Wet Wipe Machine Need to Add Water
Feb 15, 2023| In the manufacturing process of wet wipes, water is added to the liquid cleansing solution in large quantities. This is to ensure that the wipes stay moist and effective when they are used.
Besides the need for water, other additives are also necessary in the production process. These include humectants to help keep skin soft and moisturized, thickeners to control the consistency of the wet wipe formula, and preservatives to prevent the growth of bacteria.
The wet wipes manufacturing process involves a number of steps, including formulation and mixing. This is done in a mix tank, which is usually heated to enhance the mixing of powders that are added later in the process.
Once the formulation is complete, the non-woven cloth is loaded onto a coating machine. In this step, the cleansing solution is sprayed from nozzles on the non-woven fabric.
After the sprayed cleaning solution is applied to the non-woven cloth, the equipment applies a layer of the cleansing ingredient onto it in a thin film. After the film is rolled into a pouch, it is sealed using a heater sealer.
The wet wipes are then wrapped in a package. These can be single packs or in bulk. The individual wipes are usually wrapped in plastic bags, while the bulk packages can be packaged in cardboard boxes. The bulk packaging is a more efficient way to store the wet wipes.
